Making humanoid 3D Models

Making humans in the form of 3D Models was always hard and I usually had difficulties modelling them. Hence I find it easier to model them in a low poly art style.

Final Product of Human attempt 1

Difficulties encountered creating the model above

A challenge that I encountered was that somehow the right arm or the left arm was rigged wrongly when I tried to apply clothes and hence it made the character's movements look extremely unnatural. Hence I fixed this problem. However, I was not satisfied with the outcome of this product therefore I decided to attempt to create another humanoid model without a reference image.

Humanoid Model Attempt 2

The second time I remade the humanoid model, it went exactly the way I wanted to. I believed that I even made the fingers of the human correctly. It was a successful.

Difficulties

The second time round, I had lost the initial motivation that I had and was in a state of inertia. However, I overcame this problem by reminding myself that I had an asset pack and a game I wanted to launch. Another difficulty was that I had not realised that the model was too big when I imported it into Unity which was easily fixed by scaling it down.
